A nuestro cerebro le gusta y necesita crear categorías, y lo hace para todo: cuando conoce a una persona nueva la clasifica en un grupo, bien sea racial, religioso, económico, cultural… Pero también necesita otorgar etiquetas a las situaciones y a los objetos. Eso no quiere decir que la manera de clasificar y ordenar haya de seguir una lógica coherente, no; muchas veces se trata de divisiones absurdas, pero que resultan útiles a nuestro cerebro para reconocer, aprender y reaccionar la próxima vez que se encuentre con otro elemento de la misma clase en el futuro.

Young troupe takes on Italian classic (The Miami Herald )

Since its 1917 debut in Milan, the play has continued to surprise people from all walks of life because of its confrontational spirit and acute satirical humor. Pirandello based the play on his story Mrs. Frola and Her Son-in-law, Mr. Ponza. A line from that short story summarizes the premise that develops Así es: ``All reality might be but a ghost, or vice versa.'' The new production by Teatro en Miami Studio, in Spanish with English subtitles, boldly approaches this classic, a play that mocks the relativity of appearances, subjective judgments and the pretense of knowing an absolute truth.
